This Family Festival will soon be here again in Fordingbridge. Thousands of visitors from the locality along with many folks outside the area enjoyed last year, some arriving in their own classic car — a Triumph TR6 from Germany. So make sure you do not miss the 2016 event.

The Festival enjoys support from many local charities and groups being able to promote their interest, creating and generating growth for folks to enjoy a new interest in life, from footpaths, bowls, the camera club, church groups, WI and many other societies and groups.

Fordingbridge Flower and Horticulture Society displays create many interesting exhibits within their sections at the Festival. The ever expanding craft village includes pottery, hurdle, besom brooms, walking sticks, pole lathe, wood carving, basket making and many more working craft exhibits.

To conclude the day the now famous Duck Races take place on our famous River Avon, so make sure you buy your ticket either online or from our ticket sales folks in the town.

Finally take a look at the photo gallery section of this web site where a collection of pictures portrays the story of this wonderful day.

Here are just few of many comments received after the 2015 event:

I just wanted to get in touch with the Rotary to say congrats for pulling together and making such an enjoyable afternoon at the festival – David Shering (see below) suggested I get in touch with you. I also bumped into David Sanders and some others of the ex Fordingbridge Show crew on the day and it was good to catch up and hear how it was all going.

Well done – we had a really great afternoon and the displays/demos were excellent – I overheard lots of positive comments, so I think it was generally pretty well appreciated all round. Knowing how much work goes into a one day event, I think you should all feel very pleased with the results – and hopefully raised some cash too.

I am so pleased the Fordingbridge Show was able to call it a day and allow the festival to establish – it came at the right time and the whole thing is so much better for Fordingbridge I think.
In summary, please pass on my thanks to you all for putting on such a great day.

With best wishes, Peter

Well, that went well.  Thanks for the smooth running of everything today.  Happy punters, too.
